These terms apply when you use Medarno. Medarno is a personal planning app for meetings, household work, lists, notes, and follow-ups.

Your account

You are responsible for the information you add to Medarno and for keeping access to your account secure. You must not use Medarno for unlawful activity or to interfere with the service or other users.

Your content and data

You keep ownership of the content you add to Medarno. You give Medarno permission to store, process, and display that content only as needed to provide and improve the service.

You can export your content. If you delete your account, Medarno will delete the associated content it controls, except where retention is required for legal, security, backup, or operational reasons.

You are responsible for keeping your own backup of important information. Medarno is not responsible for lost, corrupted, unavailable, or deleted data.

Google, AI, and third-party services

Medarno uses Google services for sign-in, Google Calendar access, and optional Gmail features when you choose to connect them. When you use those features, relevant account, calendar, email, and content data may be sent to Google as needed to provide the feature.

Medarno uses AI services to classify notes, prepare meetings, draft text, summarize content, transcribe audio, and process screenshots or other content you choose to add. Depending on the feature and configuration, your content may be sent to ChatGPT from OpenAI, Claude from Anthropic, or processed by an internal/local AI model running through Ollama.

Medarno may also use external lookup services when needed, including services for reading links, book lookup, and food product lookup. This can include sending a URL, barcode, or other relevant lookup information to the service.

Only the data needed for the selected feature is sent or processed. Third-party services are not controlled by Medarno, and Medarno is not responsible for their availability, changes, errors, or data handling.

Subscriptions and payment

Medarno may be free when you sign up, but some or all features may later require a paid subscription. If payment is introduced, you will be told before any charge applies. If you do not want to pay, you can stop using the paid features or the service.

Availability and changes

Medarno is provided as an early service and may change over time. Features may be added, changed, limited, suspended, or removed. Medarno may be unavailable from time to time because of maintenance, errors, third-party services, or other reasons.

No warranty

Medarno is provided as is and as available. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Medarno makes no warranties that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or suitable for any particular purpose.

Limitation of liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability or rights that cannot legally be limited or excluded under applicable law.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Medarno and its owner will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, content, profits, revenue, business, goodwill, deadlines, reminders, opportunities, or other losses arising from your use of, or inability to use, Medarno.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Medarno's total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid to Medarno for the service in the three months before the event giving rise to the claim. If you have paid nothing, Medarno's total liability is limited to 100 DKK.

Termination

You may stop using Medarno at any time. Medarno may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these terms, create risk for the service or other users, or if the service is discontinued.

Terms that by their nature should continue after termination will continue, including sections about data, subscriptions and payment, no warranty, limitation of liability, and general terms.

General terms

If any part of these terms is invalid or unenforceable, the remaining terms continue to apply. These terms do not create rights for anyone other than you and Medarno. These terms are governed by Danish law, except where mandatory consumer protection law says otherwise. Medarno may update these terms from time to time by posting a new version on this page.
